Le Mans 24 Hours Official Test
~ Circuit de La Sarthe
After
an "economy gap" of a few years,
the official Le Mans test day was back on
the calendar in 2011, offering teams and
spectators a rare opportunity to assess
the performance of the new players in endurance
racing this season. Not only was RML AD
Group be there, to run the team's new HPD
ARX-01d chassis around the remarkable 13.6
kilometre circuit, but works entries from
Peugeot, Audi and Aston Martin went head-to-head for the very first time
since their new cars were unveiled. Tickets
purchased for the test can be carried over
to the race weekend itself, in June, so
check out the Le
Mans website for details. Our
content here includes a preview of what was expected from the
weekend, coverage of the two days of the test (final preparation on Saturday, track action on Sunday) and a gallery of high-resolution photographs.
